Jacoba

In this final episode we chat with Jacoba who is a Peer Resettlement Support Worker with Salvation Army and also a member of the Lived Experience Advisory Group at Launch Housing. Jacoba was going to be part of the launch of this edition of Parity Magazine in Melbourne in March 2020 but due to COVID-19, this launch was cancelled and this podcast series was born so we wanted to catch up and hear her perspective. In this conversation Jacoba shares her own story of homelessness, how important peer workers are in improving the delivery of care for people who are homeless and the value of nurturing hope in others even after years of homelessness.
